Can I choose the model?
Yes. You can browse on-device transcription and cleanup models, or use a provider you already trust. Freestyle keeps the choice in your hands rather than forcing one stack on every dictation.
Does Dictate work where I already write?
That is the point. Use the global hotkey at the cursor in the app you already have open, then let Freestyle paste the result there or copy it when you prefer.
Can it learn names and specialised terms?
Yes. Vocabulary and Dictionary let you teach Freestyle the exact names, phrases, brands, and shorthand that should come through as written.
Can I control how the final text sounds?
Yes. Choose the cleanup level and custom prompt that fit the moment. Freestyle can also use the app you are in to tailor the shape of the result.
